Dear Town Meeting Members,

This is just a brief note to let you know where we are in the 2025 Annual Town Meeting Process.

Tonight, May 12th, we’ll hear a report from State Rep. Dave Rogers, as well as a report on the FY 2026 Budget from the Chair of the Warrant Committee. We’ll also consider the motions under Article 5, which provides funding for Community Preservation Committee administrative expenses and Community Preservation Act Projects. If we finish all May 12th business this evening, then we will not meet on Wednesday, May 14th.

On Monday, May 19th, we’ll hear a report from State Sen. Will Brownsberger, as well as a report on the Belmont Public Schools Budget. We’ll also consider the motion for Article 19, the appropriation to the Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) Stabilization Fund, Article 15, Transfers to Stabilization Funds, and finally the motions for the Town and School operating budgets under Article 20.

Wednesday, May 21st, is a Special Town Meeting at which we’ll consider motions under Article 2 for senior and veterans tax relief and Article 3, which appropriates the overlay surplus from the Board of Assessors. Finally, we’ll consider Article 4, a Citizen’s Petition on the use of the Beech Street Center.
