The Belmont Center Zoning Overlay is a zoning reform initiative designed to:

• bring more foot traffic and shoppers to a key business district
• improve our Town's finances, and
• create new housing options for seniors, young professionals and town employees.

Fiscal Impact Analysis: The Town has released a version of the Fiscal Impact Analysis (FIA) tool refined for use in evaluating projects and proposals. You can download the Excel spreadsheet file and other documents related to the FIA and buildout analysis on this page.

Note: The Planning Board voted on October 7th to detach FB5 subdistrict from Section 10 (the Center Overlay) and create a separate overlay entitled Center Gateway Overlay District (CGOD) for parallel consideration by Town Meeting.
