Join us for Belmont’s Purple Heart Day Ceremony as we honor the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s Purple Heart recipients. The ceremony will begin with welcoming and closing remarks by Belmont Veterans’ Service Officer Bob Upton, the National Anthem, and an invocation by Dr. Paul Kim—Pastor Emeritus and National Chaplain for both the Korean War Veterans of America and The Chosin Few, as well as Chaplain for American Legion Post 442. Public officials, including members of the Select Board, the Town Administrator, and the State Delegation, will be recognized. Remarks will also be given by (Ret.) USMC Colonel Michael J. Callanan of the Belmont Veterans Memorial Committee. The featured speaker will be (Ret.) U.S. Army Colonel Bob Notch, a respected veteran advocate.
