Electioneering Restrictions
On Election Day, certain electioneering activities are prohibited within 150 feet of the entrance to a polling place per Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 54, Section 65.

Last Day to Register to Vote
The deadline to register to vote or make changes to your voter registration (name, address, party, etc.) is 5 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2026. Request changes by using the Secretary of the Commonwealth's online form or the links to the right of this page.
Any change requests received after the deadline will be made once the election has been certified.
How Can I Vote
Vote by Mail
You may return a Vote by Mail application to the Town Clerk's office starting January 1, 2026. The application can be returned to the Town Clerk's office by mail, in-person, or by email (original signature is required on the emailed form).
Forms are available in the Town Clerk's office or online. You may also apply online for through the Secretary of the Commonwealth's website.
The deadline to apply for a Vote by Mail ballot is 5 PM, Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

In-Person Early Voting
There is no in-person early voting for the Local Election.
At the Polls
If you do not want to Vote by Mail or have missed the deadline to request a mailed ballot, your only option is to vote at your Precinct's polling location. Please see the list above for the location and address. If you do not know your precinct, you may find out on the Secretary of the Commonwealth website or contact the Town Clerk's office at (617) 993-2603 or email townclerk@belmont-ma.gov.
